And after years of hard work, I have only one semester left… thesis sem! gulp!

past erin’s problems (andami!):

1. pagkakaroon ng superiority complex at pagiging egocentric – kay alvs lang to nangyayari.. kaya yun.. hay ang sama ko this sem!  [hmmm]

2. ano ba talaga gusto ko sa buhay? housewife na marunong mag-circuit analysis? gusto ko maging professor, pero baka hindi ako maintindihan ng mga studyante ko, wahaha! [vision is becoming clearer through time.. stop worrying!]

3. magsusummer ba ako sa diliman or sa baguio? magph-physics104 ba ako next sem? [diliman 4ever]

4. anong laboratory ang aking aapply-an? dumaan na ang iml, dsp at mobot.. huhu.. gusto ko pa naman ng mobot. pero gusto ko rin try irc, pero ung puso ko nasa iml (yak ang corny!)  mga ate at kuya help naman oh..^_^

5. paano ko ba gagawing long term memory  ung memory ko? ang bilis ko makalimoooott… [still a problem]

6. dapat maging aware ako sa sorroundings ko.. para hindi ako loser pagdating sa general info or loser sa mga bagong updates sa technology, music, blahblah, kaso nalilimutan ko rin lang na dapat nagbabago ako, pero self-conscious ako, pero hindi ko naman magawa ng tama khit gusto ko.. wah! identity crisis na to!

7. nafrufrustrate talaga ako kung tinatanungan ako or nagdidiscuss ng practical electronic stuff, most common ung computer stuff, it’s either nagkakaroon nalang ako ng false authority syndrome na kunwari alam ko un or nagtatantrum ako kc ngakakaroon na naman ako ng identity crisis! ano ang dapat gaweeen!!!!

8. gusto ko matuto sa photoshop at swish ng marami! kaso impatient ako… gusto ko may produkto kaagad! eh panget un!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

past erin’s checklist:

here i am once again in my dramatic mood… well first.. i don’t like lying in my bed and daydreaming of what i want to do in my life.. i want it to be real.. my hopes for a wonderful life is quite possible but the chances to do so is still nowhere to be found… so is it up to me make the move or should i be patient and hope for the best? i choose the latter part. so i decided to make this checklist to keep me remembering that erin’s got to be somewhere and do some things before she dies .. ahemm…

1. go to thailand and ride an elephant with my special someone (push-y!) and see with my own eyes that they do eat peanuts…
2. Be a fashion model, ramp through the stage.. =p
3. be seen in television.. but not because of criminal matters please!
4. have a studio pic with push-y! (bakit hanggang ngayon wala pa?!) —-CHECK
5. Disney land! i’ve already gone to enchanted kingdom so let’s try a different level of fun…
6. wet party.. it’s not easy to manage this sort of event considering that we are grown ups.. but hell i want more!
7. Imax.. preferably with a movie that will really make me appreciate it!
8. get a pic wearing a chinese attire.. i’m 3/8’s chinese.. i’ve got to do this!
9. serve alvin some odocs! if i have to do it with man power i will! (man power? wth?)
10. create a comic strip for a newspaper of some sort… =p
11. watch an NBA game..
12. have a business a card of my own (does this apply to engineers?, i think so…)
13. have a trophy..
14. see and get a pic with John Lloyd… (wooohoooo dream come true!)
15. sports climbing, ride a bike, rappel head below.. i consider myself as “lampa” but doing these will prove otherwise..
16. be a good model to some kid in which i have inspired him to do better..
17. Be a teacher and have the whole class to hate me… =P

19. make a device that i can really call my own and not an innovation from the past (this i must say is difficult since at present it’s hard to make new discoveries since almost everything have been discovered already.. but i can’t blame newton or einstein for it..) — Not True…

that’s enough brainstorming for now… 20 is little compared to the years i still have.. but i want to assure myself that the life i’ve taken is the life that i really hoped for.. don’t get me wrong, i am contented with the friends, loved ones that i have.. that’s why i want to share a piece of my dreams with them… that’s when i’ll say that “i have lived life to the fullest..=)”

1/20 done! gosh.. x_x scrap 19… innovations is the way to go!

hala naalala ko ngaun ung eee34 namin, naalala ko nanaman ang pagiging loser ko lalo na sa paggamit ng oscilloscope… tapos bukas makikita ko nanaman siya sa eee42… kakatrauma… patay.. lulusot pa kaya ako sa practicals ng eee42… huhuhu.. takot akuuuu… bakit kaya may mga taong daling dali makagets ng ganun, specially mga lalaki,, huhu.. ang loser ng feeling ko.. nung practicals nga ng eee34 dati wala pa ata akong nabuong square wave… wah, bilang isang eee student dapat gets ko un! pero karapat dapat ba ako dun? ewan… pressure…

I got to learn how to use the oscilloscope well past erin…. 5th yr na ako and will soon graduate!

deeply disturbed… very problematic.. seriously frustrated… o___0

and i thought coffee would help me.. but it didn’t.. in fact, the feeling was made worse… [boo coffee!]

i am deprived from sleep….

two questions linger in my mind.. first, when will this suffering end.. and second, will this pay-off? is it only me or the whole concept of studying really is tiring?

I want to do more than merely sitting on the table and flipping pages of books/notebooks…  will i benefit from all these? or will my efforts become useless in the end… Is this something i could be proud of in the end?

[yes it will, one sem left.. ]

if i continue to think linear on how things are done, if i study just because i have to,

if what i’ve learned just come and go, if i don’t really know what is really going on in my course,

then taking up engineering might be a wrong idea after all… [completely not wrong.. i'm loving it!]

but i started it, and i want to  finish it.. i just have to change…

I should see how amazing my course is… I should challenge myself and expect the unexpected…

INDEED WE LEARN..

today i am inspired… but inspiration has an expiration date… in a few weeks time, we tend to go back to our old self  forgetting the focus on our dream…

While I’m still full of inspiration, I have to list my dreams here. This would be a constant reminder for me to what I really want in life…

Here are my dreams:

1. I want a family.. and become a mother of 2 to 4 kids. Cook breakfast/lunch and dinner, go malling, visiting school plays, decorate the house…

2. I want to travel, go anywhere! visit different places, try different things, and eat different delicacies

example: Disney world, bungee jumping, safari, ride an elephant, NBA game

3. I would like to live in a  house similar to those seen in subdivisions….and a garden would be nice…

4. I want to be a registered engineer with a job focusing on instrumentation and control. I like to collaborate with different engineers and do field tests on our design… i would like to have my dream team..

5. continuing #4, I like to have our project considered a breakthrough in R&D… a technology that could contribute to the community…

6. I still want to teach.. do volunteer work in nursery schools…

7. I also want to be a pioneer of something good! I want to help make a change and inspire..

8. I still want to venture a hobby of being a cartoonist .. though I’m really not skilled, I still want to try..

that’s it.. i’m smiling just thinking about it… to make these possible,  I should go to Grad school.. maybe not immediately after I graduate but in time I will go back…

stop and stretch…

think on this: know your priorities, be responsible for it and just enjoy doing all of it…

i repeat: enjoy!!!

july 1, 2009 — i heard a heart breaking, never expected, life-changing news… my friend is sick.. i’m at a loss.  I can’t do anything about it but pray… these times I realize the uncertainty of our future, the unfairness of life, and the importance of every single moment spent with the ones you love…. i hope my feelings reaches her even if we are far from each other..

hi! long time no post, I completely forgot I have a blog… haha… It’s the 1st week of June and start of classes was moved to June 16… I have 8 days before this school year starts! But before going into superior acad mode, I have to recall everything that happened during my wild summer experience!

Things I was addicted to:

1. Facebook Apps!

- Restaurant City! i now have a nice big restaurant (I am now in Level 23)…^_^ The game is really really simple but very addictive. Trading ingredients with friends,  I enjoy designing the place and myself, completing the recipes and competing with each other is indeed very addictive

- Pet Society.  This is like a bigger version of tamagotchi… you have a pet that you feed, clean and play with… although everything about pet society looks cute, it’s very hard to obtain money to buy stuff, hence my addiction is set to a minimal amout just so I could maintain an acceptable rank with my friends…

-Know-it-all plus other quizzes in fb. I have answered a number of crazy and educational quizzes in fb! ^__^v

2. MyBrute

- i got a lot of brutes: poporin would be my first and my best brute (now in level 8). baby-rin would be in 2nd…. while the others(pretty_rin, crazy-rin, sebet_95) are sadly ignored… Fight my Brute!!!!!

3. American Idol Season 8

This season must be my most anticipated one in American Idol! I downloaded all the songs of Danny Gokey and Kris Allen and some of Matt Giraud’s. I liked the results since I don’t like Adam’s style of music at all! 

places I went:

1. PI 100 Banahaw Field Trip

- I crossed 3 caves… I jumped 10m high to a body of water… I sat at the roof of the jeepney… I walked a lot… I fell a lot of times too… I had scratches on my legs… I smiled at the cameras… I ate a lot… I slept less than 3 hours… I had fun…

2. Subic Highland

- This is the continuation of the SME camp where me and xinia came along to deploy our first drifter! Kuya Marky, Ate Grace, Ate Tin and Kuya Cris were also there! Although the drifter was not working properly (GPS and GSM module sucked big time!), we still had a lot of fun swimming, eating, and just hanging around the beach and in our room… How i wished i was able to play the swing..

3. Talent Show somewhere in Laguna

- Have no pics here… Enjoyed the show… A lot had amazing talents and I am happy to see them become new members of ERG… there was 40+ new mems!!! As usual, I struggled learning to swim…

4. SM Bowling

- with kat s, mic, manu, jet, aro, and aaron… my 2nd time to bowl(tenpin)… I got a nice score… Thanks Aaron for the treat!!!

5. ABE “where good friends dine”

- Bonding with my empcot buddies…  it’s an expensive Filipino resto with unlimited rice…

6. Somewhere in Alabang

- We had a Graduation Tribute for our co-scholars in YuSung! First time I experience eating many many Korean Food!!! Thanks mr. chung!!! and congrats to kuya gary, ate leian, ate megan, kuya roy, kuya joshua and kuya jason!

7. IECEP sem planning…

- at Roz’s…. I Love the food! Enjoyed it even if I had less than 3 hrs of sleep… go IECEP!!!

8. Somewhere in Katipunan to play RockBand and SM the Block to watch Angels and Demons

- Watched with Xin, Roz, Franz, Kuya Andrew, Kuya Earl, Kuya Robin and kuya PJ… First time to play RockBand… I don’t know the songs they were playing except for paramore but I just went with the flow… 

Some stuff that happened:

1.  Bought a new camera!!!

- a Canon A480 worth 8k inclusing the case, screen protector and memory card… The camera is user friendly and takes nice pics… It’s simple and is just what I need… Thanks alvin for helping me look for a cam!!!

2. Gossip Girl, Chuck and Heroes Finale

- Finished their season… I have nothing to watch anymore!!! I have to wait til August 31 for the GG’s 3rd season!!! waahhh.. one shout for blair and chuck!!!!  ^_^

3. Had a great PI100 class! Sir Siao is really nice… I learned a lot about Rizal… I did a lot of reflecting….I got a 1.25…

4. I watched a movie in the cinema thrice this summer: X-Men, Startrek (both with alvin) and Angels and Demons…. All 3 were great but decreased my money big time…

There you go, I had a crazy summer! That was my last summer as an undergraduate and I feel that I made the most of it… now I have to get ready for the big thing, THESIS year!!! God Bless to me and to my eee-mates!!!

I haven’t posted for awhile due to exposure of my blog… as of now it is set on private to cool down my peers until they eventually forget about it…. Hopefully I would move to the domain that alvin gave to me…

it’s the 2nd week of February….

Events pop up one after the other: ERG Cup, EEE days, UP Fair and Valentine’s Day…  

Exams come and go too: ECE151, CoE115, ECE113, ECE157 and ECE117….

And some other activities is bothering me: MADC!!!!

but the saddest part is I’m pretty empty… alvin is uber busy… but I can’t blame him, he is loaded every week!

I’m also depressed of the events that are turning out in Clannad After Story… Yes, Nagisa already died and I cried so so much…. Episode 16 and 17 was a heart breaker!!!!!!

Anyhoo, I hope this week will be okey… Pre-Valentine’s Syndrome is setting in me… Maybe because I’m scared of what might happen… although I shouldn’t expect much from his busy schedule, I can’t help myself…. How silly of me…

BTW. CoE115’s 3rd Machine Problem is communicating with the GSM Module via UART of the z8 Encore! uC…. The thought is very difficult to grasp…. I can’t seem to fit it in the code… But after this, we would have built a working cellphone without the games, video, camera and voice applications.. Haha!!!

Last week was Molave week.. sadly, I didn’t participate much except watching Mutya ng Molave (funny.. )

And last saturday it was Nikki’s Birthday treat in Eastwood…. I have to say, the food was very purifying… go Vietnamese food Spring Rolls and Yummy noodles! I also love the ice cream… i heart dairy queen!

I was uninspired to make anything in inkscape these past months… but just now I’ve stumbled upon a great amazing youtube video of making icon persons !!! It was wonderful example on using shadows, gradients and shiny tecniques! wow, wow, wow!!! I wanna do one! Amazing how the artist properly designed the clothes and hair! what a talent! waaahhhh!!! I’m so happy to have seen this!!!
