So sapphire (my acer aspire 4730z) has been well. But I noticed some missing softwares from acer that should come with it… or so i thought… half of the user guide mentioned about the ‘Acer empowering technology suite’ and it happens that my model (4730z) do not accompany it… I checked the CD but there was no installer.  I am deeply dissappointed.. the ‘e’ button at the side of the speakers only runs the launch manager which is another shortcut button to any application you choose. And as I studied it further, the only ‘technology’ that is present in sapphire is the crystalbrite and the signalUP. I haven’t tested the wifi access but it should work…   As my brother pointed out, my notebook looked generic because of  the few acer programs put to it.. wah! Downloading is a possibility but would the compatibility be an issue? as of now no drivers are available for the 4730z model in the acer website… *sigh*

Setting this fact aside,  I’m still enjoying my new notebook… I have a new cooler and sleeve.. yippee..

half the sembreak have passed and i’m still healing from all the stress the semester has given me…

this semester was a big fall for me and anticipating my grades every hour frustrates me… looking at the bright side: i survived… I am sure that I have passed my subjects… yey… anyway here’s a detailed report on my 1st semester this 4th year

The Good:

-IRC probationary member: more experience == extra work..a good trade off..

-I have subjects which involve practical stuff… eee100 and eee54… it develops the skill on hands-on work which is important for us future engineers…

-I appreciate my course more an am excited to be able to do more..

- the scholarship was a big help.. ^_^

The Bad

- very bad… as in totally… bad bad bad choice of GE subject… GE1earth trek, is not worth taking…

- EEE105 is not a fun subject… add a strict professor makes it a hard subject to pass… I read every page of the book but still wasn’t enough…

- EEE53 is an important subject but it was forgotten, ignored, left behind.. now, I have to pay the consequence

- my communications subject, digital and wireless, was okey until the last exams came… I totally blew it…:(

- all the deadlines and exams resulted my disoriented body clock. I sleep 4am and wake up 11.

- dormitory food does not satisfy me… this resulted to frequent orders at Aling Vicky’s, Jollibee, Mcdo, Greenwich, Pizza Hut…

- Alexan trips and midnight orders consumed my money the most. no savings for me..

my grades so far:

eee100 – 1.25

ge1 – 2.75

eee54 – 1.00

There.. i’m still hoping for a miracle to happen (CURVE.) but next semester is a brand new beginning… I will manage it…

I also hope CRS will have pity on me and enlist me to more subjects… I am not enlisted to 3 major subjects… how lucky am I…

Fire Emblem: sword of seals chap11-14

All walkthroughs for this game stopped after chapter10 so i decided to make my own unprofessional walkthrough just so I could be of help to other gamers. But if you have seen any walkthroughs after chapter 10, please let me know!

Chapter 11
First up, Elphin will join you at the start of the chapter. While the possibility of Geese to appear at the house on the bottom of the map depends on your previous chapter. In my case, he appeared so I made sure Roy would go down and talk to him. As Geese appears pirates will come from the forts. Be sure to bring a number of sword-users in your party. Bartre on the other hand will come out after some round at the upper-left corner talk to him with Fir. For my opinion if Fir is weak, Bartre is not worth getting (already Promoted characters are a no no for me) but if you are a ‘completist’ then do so. When you are ready to battle the boss, be careful since enemies will come out the base from time to time. To make your life easy, a powerful character (in my case dieck) in your party should battle the boss using an armorslayer for one hit kill.

Chapter 12
This is an easy chapter for me. First, be sure to include magic users to your party since they will be the only ones who could damage the boss, a light brand user is also considered.. The real boss would be a mamkute which is using a flame stone, but don’t fret since it does not attack. A thief of course is needed to get the treasures. Ray, A shaman, would be in the corner be sure to talk to him with Lugh or Chad. Cath will also appear at the top stairs so be sure that your thief is placed at the other group so Cath won’t get the treasures first. If you are able to talk to Cath with Roy she will at last join your party. But if it is a hassle to catch her then it is best to kill her instead just like i did. Reinforcements will appear after some time. A group of wyvern riders at the upper right corner and mercenaries+hero at the front. That’s just about it, just be sure that you step on the stairs at the area of the boss so reinforcements won’t appear.

Chapter 13
This chapter involves a lot of cavaliers/paladins/troubadors so don’t forget to equip yourself with a horseslayer. Milady, a wyvern rider, will join your party after some round. Percival on the other hand can be obtained by talking to him with Elphin. However, you have to do this fast since after the 8th round he will retreat. If it is too much of a hassle for you, better leave it behind since you have another chance to get Percival at chapter 15. Also after the 8th round reinforcements (horse users) will appear at the left. This will happen twice so finish them off first before going to the boss. The boss is a wyvern lord so a wyrmslayer or bow-users would do.

Chapter 14
Adjusting with the sandstorm is the challenge for this chapter. Include in your party magic-users and winged-users and avoid horse-users and armors since they will be completely useless. Sophia and Cecilia will join your party at the start of the chapter. Always limit your step since you’ll never know when a mamkute(3) or a wyvern lord(2) is behind the sandstorm. Use your thief wisely in exploring the map and move your characters every now and then even you don’t have to since you’ll never know when you’ll get an item below the sand (I got a silver blade, guiding ring, sleep and warp.. ^_^). One big hassle would be the axe-users (tons of them!) that will appear at the lower-left corner, use your sword-users to block them. As for the mamkutes, you have to kill them with one round or else somebody’s going to die. I had to surround one mamkute with 3-4 magic-users before I could kill it, that is tough. As for the boss, he will be using a light brand so I guess a lance user would do the job or a powerful hero.

i’ll be soon going home.. and i can’t wait.. however somethings and somebody is pulling me back. Mixed emotions is what i’m feeling right now.. anxious because of the last requirements for the semester: exams, practicals, and papers. Scared of the incoming results of my performance this semester. Depressed for wanting to enjoy the semester more but few days are actually left for it. And excited to see my lil sister graduate in her elementary level.

I’m really not ready to go forward but time says so. But i also don’t want to stop time since  i’m also looking forward to other things (NOT the exams, etc). I don’t like the thought of turning back time since this makes Life interesting.I want to skip time: fast forward passing by the times of pressure and frustration. But then i realized the feeling of reaching the finish line wouldn’t be THAT fulfilling.

Anyway.. this situation is really inevident and writing about it just releases my stress.. so let me do so… The decisions made, makes the best of everybody. It’s all about choices. So now, I’ll just keep moving forward, no regrets, and keep up with the forever challenge of mine:Of how to Live my Life right (‘right’ in my perspective.. )

This is a very cluttered entry. so i better stop and study..

If you’re not sure where you stand in someone’s life, it’s best to leave things behind so that if they drop you off, it will be easier to forget them. Don’t waste time waiting for nothing, when efforts are not recognized, its best to just give things up, you’ve done your part, let them do theirs.

just watched Meet the Robinsons recently with my brother in our room.. It was funny, amusing but slightly predictable.. like the future kid, Wilber, being Lewis’ son in the future.. and the villain bowler hat guy to be Lewis’ roomate in the orphanage.. Still, it is touching… It’s a great story about family,accepting failures and just being contended. Plus the animation amazes me, i want to learn how it works but i think i don’t have any patience for it!  :(  I wish i could get a chance to explore how these animated films are created step by step!

I envy Lewis for being someone  amazingly smart.. i do wish to be a great creator someday… to earn recognition for something life/world-changing… to create a new generation because of it! BUT reality really sucks and a change that BIG is really impossible to attain by only 1 person.. let’s face facts, everything amazing are already discovered nad invented by famous scientists dead and alive.. what else can we discover? Sadly, we can only improve/innovate previous discovers which, i think, will never be felt by everyone.  Yet, I’ll  still be keeping this great motto: “Keep moving Forward”, whatever happens, never ever give up!

thanking the Lord for blessing me with a great sembreak with no worries whatsoever! (I did good job last semester! clap clap.. happy!)oh wait.. except for the crs!? i thought 25 was the batch run?! now it’s 27!

last October 24 was the birthday of our pxii freind, ara. She is now 19 like the rest of us, except for pheigh that is. It’s the last birthday celebration for this year so it might be the time for me to hibernate!!! haha… But I wish that us, girls, would have a night-out for ourselves.

Not only did I ate a lot (3 pieces of chicken while others ate only 1!), but i personally enjoyed the tequila, not because i am “tanggera” like others might think, but because it was different . I know i’m vague but i can’t explain it with words… It was a higher status of drinking, which had the purpose of socializing instead of letting yourself be a wacko for a night. I don’t know.. but i said enough,  i know i’ll always be the loser in this argument.

yesterday was the celebration of my pxii friend, stephanie therese leigh cordero also known to be pheigh. She was the bunso of our barkada which made it extra special to see her celebrate her 18th birthday.. there were tons of surprises and i’m glad to have been part of the surprise even if i didn’t put too much effort on it compared to the others..sorry!!! But still, being part of someone that somehow changed her life in even the smallest/simplest way possible makes me feel happy to see that i am a use in this world after all… And I hope i would be remembered not just as the friend who wears anything wearable without fashion consent, or the friend that lets her cheat on an exam, but the friend that believed in her that somehow inspired her to push through in her journey confidently..

 Although i was deprived from sleep that night, inhaled a hell lot of smoke, and wore an  oh so skinny sleeveless shirt just to be welcomed as “maporma”, It was all for pheigh and for the group.. and i enjoyed it anyway..

 i didn’t even finish one bottle of beer nor took a single puff of cigarette! hurray!
