hi! long time no post, I completely forgot I have a blog… haha… It’s the 1st week of June and start of classes was moved to June 16… I have 8 days before this school year starts! But before going into superior acad mode, I have to recall everything that happened during my wild summer experience!

Things I was addicted to:

1. Facebook Apps!

- Restaurant City! i now have a nice big restaurant (I am now in Level 23)…^_^ The game is really really simple but very addictive. Trading ingredients with friends,  I enjoy designing the place and myself, completing the recipes and competing with each other is indeed very addictive

- Pet Society.  This is like a bigger version of tamagotchi… you have a pet that you feed, clean and play with… although everything about pet society looks cute, it’s very hard to obtain money to buy stuff, hence my addiction is set to a minimal amout just so I could maintain an acceptable rank with my friends…

-Know-it-all plus other quizzes in fb. I have answered a number of crazy and educational quizzes in fb! ^__^v

2. MyBrute

- i got a lot of brutes: poporin would be my first and my best brute (now in level 8). baby-rin would be in 2nd…. while the others(pretty_rin, crazy-rin, sebet_95) are sadly ignored… Fight my Brute!!!!!

3. American Idol Season 8

This season must be my most anticipated one in American Idol! I downloaded all the songs of Danny Gokey and Kris Allen and some of Matt Giraud’s. I liked the results since I don’t like Adam’s style of music at all! 

places I went:

1. PI 100 Banahaw Field Trip

- I crossed 3 caves… I jumped 10m high to a body of water… I sat at the roof of the jeepney… I walked a lot… I fell a lot of times too… I had scratches on my legs… I smiled at the cameras… I ate a lot… I slept less than 3 hours… I had fun…

2. Subic Highland

- This is the continuation of the SME camp where me and xinia came along to deploy our first drifter! Kuya Marky, Ate Grace, Ate Tin and Kuya Cris were also there! Although the drifter was not working properly (GPS and GSM module sucked big time!), we still had a lot of fun swimming, eating, and just hanging around the beach and in our room… How i wished i was able to play the swing..

3. Talent Show somewhere in Laguna

- Have no pics here… Enjoyed the show… A lot had amazing talents and I am happy to see them become new members of ERG… there was 40+ new mems!!! As usual, I struggled learning to swim…

4. SM Bowling

- with kat s, mic, manu, jet, aro, and aaron… my 2nd time to bowl(tenpin)… I got a nice score… Thanks Aaron for the treat!!!

5. ABE “where good friends dine”

- Bonding with my empcot buddies…  it’s an expensive Filipino resto with unlimited rice…

6. Somewhere in Alabang

- We had a Graduation Tribute for our co-scholars in YuSung! First time I experience eating many many Korean Food!!! Thanks mr. chung!!! and congrats to kuya gary, ate leian, ate megan, kuya roy, kuya joshua and kuya jason!

7. IECEP sem planning…

- at Roz’s…. I Love the food! Enjoyed it even if I had less than 3 hrs of sleep… go IECEP!!!

8. Somewhere in Katipunan to play RockBand and SM the Block to watch Angels and Demons

- Watched with Xin, Roz, Franz, Kuya Andrew, Kuya Earl, Kuya Robin and kuya PJ… First time to play RockBand… I don’t know the songs they were playing except for paramore but I just went with the flow… 

Some stuff that happened:

1.  Bought a new camera!!!

- a Canon A480 worth 8k inclusing the case, screen protector and memory card… The camera is user friendly and takes nice pics… It’s simple and is just what I need… Thanks alvin for helping me look for a cam!!!

2. Gossip Girl, Chuck and Heroes Finale

- Finished their season… I have nothing to watch anymore!!! I have to wait til August 31 for the GG’s 3rd season!!! waahhh.. one shout for blair and chuck!!!!  ^_^

3. Had a great PI100 class! Sir Siao is really nice… I learned a lot about Rizal… I did a lot of reflecting….I got a 1.25…

4. I watched a movie in the cinema thrice this summer: X-Men, Startrek (both with alvin) and Angels and Demons…. All 3 were great but decreased my money big time…

There you go, I had a crazy summer! That was my last summer as an undergraduate and I feel that I made the most of it… now I have to get ready for the big thing, THESIS year!!! God Bless to me and to my eee-mates!!!

after knowing that The Dark Knight claimed the number one spot on the imdb charts, the dark knight has become a must watch for me and alvin. Luckily, the professor didn’t attend our morning class. So in a spur of moment we were in trinoma buying tickets!

Comments on the 2 and a half long movie?
1. It’s not worth the number 1 spot on the imdb charts, personally the dark knight and spiderman seems in the same level.. Of course both movies have their own drawbacks, but they’re somehow just equal in my likeness.
2. The moment I knew Heath Ledger will play the role of Joker, I was set back since I still imagine him as an appropriate leading man for a drama movie and not a villain of a comic hero. Nevertheless, he was waaay better than expected. He was scary and so different from how he acts on brokeback (that’s a great actor! )
3. Ok the scenes were fast and some were confusing. I can’t help to think “How did they get there?!” or “When did they do that?!”. The transitions were not good, no wonder everybody wants to watch it again..

4. Batman’s voice is veerryyy rough.. I can’t understand anything that he was saying! Plus, his appearance were so.. dark.. He’s not a likeable kind of hero..
5. The leading lady was.. uhm.. ugly.. good thing she d***.
6. If the movie’s objective was to make a different aura when it comes to revived comic heroes then it was very effective! It had lots of explosions and thrills. It doesn’t get your eyes off the screen in a different feeling.. great suspense movie..I hardly laughed in the scenes plus it was so excitingly scary… definitely not for children to watch!!!
7. Although I’m not into action type of movies (Take note, I haven’t even seen Batman Begins) I enjoyed The Dark Knight. I somehow see it very Cool and Tricky.. Joker was smart for a villain.. he was very playful, very unexpected… and in how I see it, he actually won in this movie
8. Half face for me was annoying,.. very exaggerated.. even without him The Dark Knight would still be a hit as long as Joker is around..

Why Women Need To Stop Watching Romantic Movies

So why was I intrigued by the post? Or should I say why was it even named most popular? The simple answer would be because it’s the truth. The moment I read the title I was laughing inside because I am so guilty of it and i’ll bet a thousand of pesos (Yes, Filipino money) that the majority who viewed it were at the same situation as me. Yes, everything was true that girls think that guys should walk through rain or that it they should say romantic lines whenever they propose. But saying that “men aren’t like that” is not the point. Men are not born romantic but they tend to be when the time is needed. I am definitely not a “pro-bradpitt is the ideal guy” kind of person but I am indeed someone who appreciate simple efforts by men to be the gentlemen that they should be. So I guess my answer is, Romantic Movies are good for girls as a form of escapade from reality but bad if you drag the whole detailed idea “of what guys should do” out the theatres.  From the said answer equates that there’s no stopping girls from watching romantic movies. period.

nice! haha.. although i didn’t really watched speed racer ever when i was a kid it’s interesting to see how it was made from a japanese anime to a movie.

I wonder how dragon ball Z the movie will be? everybody is saying its gonna suck, but popularity-wise its gonna hit big time because of curiosity.. Well i’m gonna watch it like i watched power rangers the movie in the past, no shame.. ^_^

and how about G.I.Joe?

It would be surely better than dragon ball, but it still may not level the movies like spiderman…

for my short break I am currently watching a number of new movies to keep me updated, and to keep me relaxed. I’m really enjoying the movies i watched, i didn’t need to think too much and it just made me feel so light.. I must admit, i enjoy movies that are not so into the oscar’s or that have a high rating in imdb.. I just want something that makes me go ‘awww’ in the end. I know, sometimes this genre is so predictable but maybe it has to be so that relating to it is made easier… Of course, guys, from my observation, don’t understand too much because they’re tough or maybe acting tough. And maybe it’s not really for them since they don’t have the “kilig” term in their vocabulary.. But that’s really how this world goes, so i better not argue anymore..

Just yesterday, me and my roommates(that includes niki..:)) watched Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I must say it’s been awhile since i shed a tear in a movie,.. as far as i remembered, last time i cried because of a movie was when i watched “If Only” (Or is it Innocent steps?, whichever came first.. ) All i can say is wow, there are scenes where i envied them for traveling so much but there are scenes where i don’t want to be in their position (EVER!!!). The movie moved me especially in the ending… It gave me realizations that i have to super live my life to the fullest! I have to travel, take risks and make things happen! haha… i’m so excited to grow up when i have lots of money! yeah! buT of course, we shouldn’t forget to say ‘i love you’ to everyone that touched our lives(i know, cliche, corny.. whatever you call it i don’t care..it’s the ultimate truth not taken seriously..). To anyone who haven’t watched ‘bucket list’, WATCH IT… I have to give it 4.7 stars.. haha! want to watch it again and again!

here’s where i cried so much!!!

Edward Cole: The simplest thing is… I loved him. And I miss him. Carter and I saw the world together. Which is amazing… When you think that only three months ago, we were complete strangers! I hope that it doesn’t sound selfish of me but… the last months of his life were the best months of mine. He saved my life… And he knew it before I did.

Carter Chambers: Even now I cannot understand the measure of a life, but I can tell you this. I know that when he died, his eyes were closed and his heart was open. And I’m pretty sure he was happy with his final resting place, because he was buried on the mountain. And that was against the law.

Erin: love you alvin.. let’s study well for our future.. hehe..

something to look forward to on summer..

lately i’ve watched two new movies, one credible for winning an oscar award.. but even so it is dissapointing that i’m not updated with the the cool movies this time around ( well i never been actually.. hehe), like 300 or ‘V for Vendetta’, the Pirates of th Carribean series and even Johnny Depp’s Sweeney Todd.. oh well, this is me, the not so fan of movies but still continues to watch whenever free…

My first “not so reliable” review is for Juno.. it had a very unique plot, a unique character and an emotional end… and.. what’s great was the support of Juno’s parents (which is rare to see here in the Philipines..), on her untimely pregnancy.. a very big ‘Aaaawww’ was all i can say… Indeed, support from her parents was a great factor for her to have the strength of pushing it through,..Yet, there are some scenes misinterpreted by me, maybe for my very slow mind i did not felt the real depth of the story.. but as a female and as a teenager this is a movie to watch..  wahh., motherhood.. such a great thing to think about.. 

Next is I am Legend… the movie was strong the whole time except when it was nearing the end.. but it was good enough.. it’s been awhile since i’ve watched a suspense, sci-fi movie, and i’m glad i did watch it (it took out my stress!) But i wish the spread of the virus was explained in detail… also i wished for the ending to have even a short clip on how they used the cure to start anew… I’m very curious how difficult the movie was produced… surely, the setting was hard to arrange.. .. well, the title really suits well, and a salute to neville,the main character, for having a great sense of hope and belief that he really can fix the spread… another great example for mankind..

for one day, me and alvin celebrated our monthsary the next day as well as the 100th year of our school….

Although i came up late for our date (which resulted with a very rough start ) , it went well. We did what we had to do in trinoma and still able to watch a great mystery movie… thank goodness SM had the screening earlier! phew!

As for the centennial, i was able to had a glimpse of the parade (since i couldn’t cross the street because of it!) and we still reached the very beautiful and expensive fireworks display.. i love the placing of our dormitory and i definitely loved that moment, watching something so

beautiful with alvin… well got to go.. i have to catch up with the studying part! haha.. at least i’m enjoying it….
