One of the highlighted game consoles today would be Nintendo’s Wii but my knowledge about it is very limited. The first time I saw the popular technology is at Toy Kingdom(It’s been a long time if your asking) and to my surprise they weren’t using game pads but a sort of stick to play virtual baseball! How cool is that? not quite if you can’t get a hold of it.

Then I went to CD-r King and noticed that they are selling add-ons for Wii. WTF?! Don’t get me wrong, the ground breaking technology is hands down brilliant and the design of making it perfectly clean and white is so attractive. It’s not that Wii have disturbing features but personally the technology is very expensive. Imagine 30,000 pesos for a home video game console and another 3,500 for a game. Well, I’m not sure whether piracy is present but still i still can’t compare it to the 50 pesos game for the playstation and free downlaod gba roms for the gameboy. It’s like comparing the tuition fee of Ateneo to UP! I am somewhat bitter since because of Wii’s rise, every popular game sequel (Harvest Moon, Fire Emblem) levels up to Wii forgetting those consoles that we, middle class people have and could afford like gameboy, playstation 1 and 2. The name itself means “revolution”, but this revolution is leaving behind massive number of people including me! It’s just pitiful to think not everbody could get a hold of something wonderful as Wii. Nevertheless <with full of confidence and passion)>!!! I am inspired to work harder so when the time comes that I have plenty of money I’ll be able buy the things that I wanted to buy in the past !!! bwahaha! and that also goes for the Gameboy DS and PSP.. I’m gonna buy them like I’m buying fishball here in the streets..>___<
